A San Antonio park police officer is recovering from an accident that killed his wife on Nov. 26.
The community is rallying behind the family of a San Antonio park police officer and his wife who were struck by a driver two days before Thanksgiving as they were out for a morning walk. The woman didn't survive. April Maldonado , a 42-year-old who worked as a Bexar County probation officer, died from blunt force injuries as a result of the crash, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner 's Office.
