Several organizations in San Antonio are working together to ensure Hispanic and Latino families have access to early education and childcare.
These organizations say the access is desperately needed in San Antonio where more than 40% of people are Hispanic or Latino.
Thursday’s roundtable had more than a dozen organizations present. The common goal: make sure Hispanic and Latino families have access to early education and affordable childcare. “They need the childcare in order to stay in the workforce to be able to provide for their family, but now because they’re doing better, they’re no longer eligible,” said Granillo.
