Hurricane Beryl didn't bring us any moisture on Monday but still have a shot at some rain each day this week, thanks to a rare summer front.

After Hurricane Beryl landed in Matagorda on the Texas Gulf Coast around 4 a.m. Monday morning, the storm moved inland but then swung northeast, resulting in minimal rainfall for San Antonio and the Interstate 35 corridor. The remnants of Beryl will shift into Arkansas and then into Indiana later this week. Despite being left high and dry by Beryl, South and Central Texas enjoyed gusty winds and milder temperatures, with afternoon highs ranging from the mid-80s to the mid-90s.

The storms will be diurnally driven, which means they will develop after lunch and into the early evening, and then diminish after sunset. While most of the area will remain dry, those who experience the storms could receive a quick quarter-inch to a half-inch of rainfall. This type of weather pattern is unusual for July, but we shouldn’t complain. We’re experiencing morning clouds followed by isolated afternoon storms, which are helping to moderate our temperatures.
