Mastermind of undercover antics Sacha Baron Cohen is teaming up with King of the Hill creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge for a new animated special. While the FOX comedy ended over 12 years ago, the show continues to flourish in syndication, and the fanbase has been sturdy enough to bring about a King of the Hill revival.
As reported by THR, the trio's new animated special is called Chelm: The Smartest Place on Earth. According to the report, the special will skewer towards a younger audience as it premieres on both Cartoon Network and HBO Max. The story centers on the mythical"Town of Fools" from classic Yiddish folktales, and will bring a modern sense of absurdism to the town's crazy antics and squabbles.
"This pitch was so hilarious; we just knew the HBO Max audience needed to get a dose of this original brand of storytelling. Chelm: The Smartest Place on Earth is a perfect pairing of comedy and satire, and no one does that combination better than Sacha, Greg, Mike and Michael.
