KOTA KINABALU: An integrated operation launched by the police from Wednesday (Jan 18) until Jan 27 is aimed at smoothing traffic flow while reducing accidents, as well as keeping house break-ins to the minimum during the Chinese New Year festive season.
Sabah Police Commissioner Comm Datuk Idris Abdullah, in a statement Wednesday, said there were 267 personnel from the traffic investigation and enforcement department on standby during the period across the state, with support from other branches.
“All staff on duty have been directed to boost enforcement including patrolling at black spot areas and action against offenders that contribute to accidents. “In an effort to curb house break-ins, continuous patrolling will be done at premises and housing areas ,” he added.
