Reports suggest that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson's time with the team may be coming to an end. Sources indicate that a story about offensive coordinator Arthur Smith stripping Wilson of pre-snap duties was likely fabricated by Wilson's camp, and there is little chance of a reconciliation. NFL insiders believe Wilson is more likely to start fresh elsewhere.

Kovacevic says after talking with multiple sources, he believes the story about offensive coordinator Arthur Smith stripping Wilson of his pre-snap duties was a fabricated story by Wilson’s team, and that there is ‘no chance’ Wilson returns to the Steelers.
It is the same tone that Mike Tomliln’s good friend and NFL insider Jay Glazer used on Thursday when talking about Wilson, who he belives has no chance of returning. “That ain’t gonna happen,” Glazer said about Wilson heading to Las Vegas. “That one is over. I don’t think that’s gonna happen, either . I think you’ll see a new start for Russell somewhere.”
In 12 starts, Wilson went 6-6, while throwing for 2482 yards while adding 16 touchdowns and just five interceptions. The one hurdle is that Wilson and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith may not see eye to eye. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reported that Wilson was stripped of his ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage, creating friction between Smith and Wilson.
