Criminal charges are now pending after a security scare at Rush-Henrietta High School Tuesday afternoon, deputies said.
Rush-Henrietta High School went into a brief lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a knife was displayed during a fight between a few students, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said a confrontation broke out between some students just before dismissal and a knife was displayed, forcing the school to put everyone in lockdown.
Deputies said school security separated those involved in the fight and quickly de-escalated the situation."It's difficult to make sure these weapons stay out . Knives can be big, they can be small. not sure exactly how it was or what it was, but I do know there was a knife and it was confiscated," explained Deputy Brendan Hurley with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
