Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez said the House of Representatives is committed to ensuring its budget version “reflects the priorities of the Filipino people.”
The leader of the 307-strong House said the bicam need not complicate its budget reconciliation deliberations. The Speaker reminded bicam members the budget “has the power to either improve or disrupt the lives of millions of Filipinos,” adding he was sure senators share these same goals. “This is where we prove that we’re capable of working together, not just as representatives of our respective chambers but as leaders who genuinely care about the future of this country,” he added.
