No one will ever forget Sept. 11, 2001, when thousands died in the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex in New York City, among them many first responders.

Bobst said Sept. 11 each year has become a day to reflect and remember the greatness of America -- called Patriot Day. “So today, Sept. 11, 2024, we continue to be a hopeful community, focused on renewal and resolve, and inspired by service, kindness and compassion.

11 Migrants Rescued From Rocky Cliffside on Puerto Rican IslandThe US Coast Guard rescued eleven migrants who were stranded and clinging to a cliffside on an uninhabited part of Monito Island in Puerto Rico. The migrants, wearing orange shirts, were spotted by watchstanders and received assistance from the Coast Guard crew who instructed them to jump into the water with life jackets and life rings.
