"If enough people participate, it will be seen by everybody, and that's the reason to do it." "Our staff was on board," Moss added. "I asked them if it was OK with them, so we won't do any deliveries on Friday." "I think it's important to know and for folks to understand that you know," said Rory Van Grol of Ugly Duck Coffee said. "Shutting down and striking in this way is not the only thing that you can do. You can call your Congress people. You can not spend money. You can show up in different ways." As calls grow louder for major changes or an end to the federal government's immigration crackdown, Lama said Friday's movement is born out of solidarity. "We always grew up looking at America as a beacon of democracy, of tolerance and such," Lama said.
