A truck carrying coal miners in Pakistan's Balochistan province was targeted by a roadside bomb, resulting in 11 fatalities and six injuries. The attack occurred in the Harnai area, a region known for its mineral resources but also for the ongoing separatist insurgency.

A truck transporting coal miners in Pakistan 's southwestern province of Balochistan was hit by a roadside bomb, killing 11 and wounding six. The truck had been bringing the workers to a mine in the Harnai area of Balochistan , a region that has been plagued by a separatist insurgency for years. A military official confirmed that an improvised explosive device was planted at the roadside and detonated when the truck carrying the miners passed by.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a proscribed terrorist organization, has a history of carrying out similar attacks targeting migrant workers from other parts of the country. According to Hazrat Wali Agha, the deputy commissioner of the region, there were 17 miners inside the truck when the bomb exploded. Balochistan, a mineral-rich province bordering Iran and Afghanistan, has been the focal point of a decade-long insurgency by separatist Baloch groups. The region also sees operations from other terrorist organizations
