Riyadh closes Grand, Prophet’s Mosques to stem virus spread

SAUDI authorities have stopped worshippers from entering two holy mosques to stem the spread of Covid-19, reported the Anadolu agency. “The presidency and security and health authorities decided to suspend… prayers at the outer squares of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque starting Friday,” the official SPA news agency quoted Hani Hosni Haider, spokesman for the general presidency of the two mosques, as saying.
