Rivian has discounts of up to $6,000 for inventory EVs. Customers must submit a trade-in request for a gas or hybrid vehicle. A trade-in is not required, though. Rivian is offering discounts of up to $6,000 on some of its inventory vehicles, and the good news is that while you need to request a trade-in estimate to get the price cuts, you don’t actually have to trade in your old car.
An R1S configured as such starts from $106,900 without the discount, while an R1T goes from $100,900. With the rather generous discount, the R1S Tri Max price goes down to $100,900, while the R1T Tri Max starts from $94,900 excluding shipping and taxes. That’s still far from affordable, but a discount is a discount, and it’s always good to have one, especially since none of Rivian’s EVs currently qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit.
