From Oregon down to Texas, a glowing ring of fire will appear around the sun during Saturday's solar eclipse at 9:13 a.m. Pacific Time.
"There in Seattle, I believe you will see a beautiful crescent sun," said Anita Dey, outreach and engagement partnerships manager for NASA Science. "We're used to seeing a crescent moon, but in this case you'll see a crescent sun."CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST WEATHER FORECAST
NASA will use the eclipse to study the sun launching three sounding rockets before, during and after the eclipse.
