PETALING JAYA: Two Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) commissioners have tested positive for Covid-19, according to a news report.
Free Malaysia Today reported that the commissioners tested positive for the virus on March 2 and 11.The report noted that the infected commissioners were at the public inquiry of the disappearance of Pastor Joshua Hilmy and his wife, Ruth Sitepu.
On Wednesday , Suhakam announced that one of its members had tested positive for Covid-19 but did not reveal who it was. Suhakam had also advised the public who had visited or interacted with its officers from March 2 onwards to approach any district health officer for further testing should they develop any symptoms or feel unwell.
FMT in its report also said that another Suhakam employee was currently awaiting for test results after showing symptoms on March 13. Suhakam in a notice on Sunday stated that its Kuala Lumpur headquarters in Menara TH Perdana would be closed from March 11 to 24.
