Welcome back to the Academy Awards, Renate Reinsve.Tonight, the Norwegian star makes her second appearance at the Oscars ceremony, while celebrating her first-ever nomination, thanks to her performance as Nora Borg in Sentimental Value.
With her nod for Best Actress, Reinsve becomes only the second Norwegian nominee in the history of the category .To celebrate her special night, Reinsve wore a red-hot look, custom-made by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. Styled by Karla Welch, the strapless asymmetrical design featured a tube-like bodice with the red material stretching into a square train that didn’t go around back, but rather, to the side.As the fabric flowed away from Reinsve, it left a high slit along her opposite hip, which added a lot of dynamism to the look. For a monochromatic touch, she completed her ensemble by adding a pair of matching red heels from Giuseppe Zanotti, while accessorizing with a chunky silver bangle and tying her hair into a ponytail around back.Including Reinsve’s recognition, Sentimental Value received a total of nine nods, making it one of the most-nominated films of the 98th Oscars. It is tied with Marty Supreme and Frankenstein, and behind the leaders of the night—Sinners and One Battle After Another.The categories in which it has been recognized include Reinsve’s, as well as Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Directing , Best Actor in a Supporting Role , Best Actress in a Supporting Role , Best Writing for an Original Screenplay , and Best Film Editing .Although this is Reinsve’s first time being nominated, she previously attended the Oscars back in 2022, in support of her romantic dramedy The Worst Person in the World, which was nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay.
