The Regina Rams quarterback has been selected to attend Roughriders training camp as part of the CFL QB Internship program.
And Pelletier — who has been a Roughrider fan his entire life — will be part of a quarterback room that includes Levi Lewis, Jake Dolegala, Mason Fine, Zerrick Cooper, Shea Patterson and starter Trevor Harris. While this will be Pelletier’s first taste of professional football, he does have experience throwing to professional receivers, which gives him a little perspective into what to expect at camp.
Prior to attending the U of R, Pelletier played high school football for the Balfour Bears. In his Grade 12 season, the Regina product threw for 1,695 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2018 and 2019, he also won back-to-back Football Canada Cup championships with Team Saskatchewan. Additionally, he suited up for Team Canada in 2018 and 2020, where he got a chance to attend the 2020 International Bowl in Arlington, Texas.
