The pipes were found by developers prior to construction beginning on the third phase, which will bring more than 250 new homes
Part of Gedling’s 800-home Teal Close development will be redesigned because a water pipe was discovered under a section of the land. Developer Persimmon Homes has amended its plans for part of the third phase of the major housing scheme to account for an underground culvert.
In documents, the developer said: “A re-plan of this area is necessary due to the discovery of an existing culvert in the south western corner of phase three. [This] cannot be built upon and its easement needs to be respected. And, alongside the redesigning, an additional home will be added to when the developer replaces a large detached house with two smaller semi-detached properties. In total, it means 808 homes will now be built across the Teal Close development.
