Warp pipes, Mario karts and mushroom soup 🍄 Inside the new turbocharged Super Nintendo World
, but now it has levelled up, adding – for the first time – an immersive world set inside a computer game. The result is a prismatic multiverse that expertly brings the beloved games to life.game. Inside, life in the hallucinogenic Mushroom Kingdom is in full swing and I spend 10 minutes just trying to make sense of it all.
The main attraction, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, is a chance to race your own Mario Kart, exactly as you would at home, but bigger and more bonkers. The attraction uses augmented reality, seen through a visor to create the feeling of being a character in the game as you drive. Some challenges are only available to unlock with enough keys, adding to the gamification of the experience.
