A week after a tragic mid-air collision between an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport, all 67 victims have been recovered. Recovery efforts continue as crews carefully remove the plane wreckage from the Potomac River. The NTSB is investigating the incident, including examining new data from air traffic control sensors and reviewing recent flights.

7News spoke with retired army master aviator, Gordon Sumner. He flew over 5,000 hours in various army aircraft and sometimes flew under night vision goggles. This new data shows the Black Hawk was at 300 feet on the air traffic control display at the time of the collision. This data is rounded to the nearest 100 feet.
