Consumers with debt may soon be able to breathe a little easier, as the end of this round of interest rate increases is in sight thanks to inflation, which is starting to fall locally and internationally

According to Johann Els, chief economist of the Old Mutual Investment Group , inflation in South Africa is expected to be 4.5% by the end of next year, which is back within the SA Reserve Bank’s target band of 3% to 6%. Consumer price inflation was at 7.
