GEORGE TOWN: Sebanyak 11 pegawai dan seorang anggota polis Pulau Pinang direman 7 hari bermula hari ini bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kegiatan rasuah yang didakwa bagi melindungi kesalahan pemandu lori di negeri ini. Perintah reman itu dikeluarkan Penolong Kanan Pendaftar Mahkamah Sesyen/Majistret George Town Nur Fadrina Zulkhairi selepas membenarkan permohonan dikemukakan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia .

Semua mereka yang berusia antara 31 hingga 59 tahun itu ditahan bagi membantu siasatan mengikut Seksyen 17 Akta SPRM 2009. Semalam, Ketua Pesuruhjaya SPRM Azam Baki turut mengesahkan kepada Bernama berhubung penahanan tersebut.
