Georgetown Dua belas polis Pulau Pinang direman tujuh hari bermula hari ini bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kegiatan rasuah yang didakwa bagi melindungi kesalahan pemandu lori di negeri itu.
Perintah reman itu dikeluarkan oleh Penolong Kanan Pendaftar Mahkamah Sesyen/Majistret Georgetown Nur Fadrina Zulkhairi selepas membenarkan permohonan dikemukakan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia .Kesemua mereka yang berusia antara 31 hingga 59 tahun itu ditahan bagi membantu siasatan mengikut Seksyen 17 Akta SPRM 2009.
Semalam, Ketua Pesuruhjaya SPRM Datuk Seri Azam Baki turut mengesahkan kepada Bernama berhubung penahanan tersebut.
