Recently, what appears to be a furniture store franchise on social media platforms is asking buyers to pay a deposit for all purchases before a sale can proceed. Is this legitimate?In a Facebook post, Ashley Furniture HomeStore Malaysia warns potential customers that scammers are impersonating it on various social media platforms.
Warning customers to be wary of fraudulent accounts, it said:"It has come to our notice that scammers are misusing our company address on social media platforms."Please be aware that this is a scam! Your security is our top priority, so we urge you not to proceed with any transactions or share any personal information.It also urged its customers and followers to report any suspicious accounts they come across.
