According to a statement by the Sarawak Police Commissioner, two Indonesian men managed to escape the Tapah police station lock- in Padawan, Sarawak at about 1pm on Monday .
"The two suspects were arrested under Section 6 of the Immigration Act and placed in the Tapah police station lock-up on June 7 before they escaped on Monday," said Comm Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri."The police are now actively tracking the two suspects and Ops Tutup mobilised in the Padawan district," he said.
He also urged the public to contact the IPD Padawan operations room at 082-862 233 or the nearest police station if they have any information regarding the case.
