Residents of Quebec House apartments in Washington, D.C. are complaining about a persistent rat infestation that has lasted for months. The smell is unbearable, and residents have reported seeing rats in common areas like the gym and laundry room. Management has acknowledged the issue and is working with pest control companies to resolve it, but residents are frustrated by the lack of progress.
For at least 4 months now, tenants of QH apartments have been dealing with the most foul smell ever. It’s like rat sh!t meets a dead animal And it has leaked into the elevator, stairwell, laundry room, gym, etc. Management doesn’t care. They think cleaning at 2am is suffice and yet we’ve all continued to suffer from the smell. Some residents have even seen rats running around the gym and in the ceilings above. It’s a safety hazard for many reasons.
They wont use the word “rats” in the management’s emails but they did close the laundry facility for a week and the gym and amenities until further notice as I imagine they’ll have to get inside the walls.
