Several Qantas flights between Johannesburg and Sydney have been delayed for one to six hours due to SpaceX rocket launches and US government advice. Qantas operations head Ben Holland stated that the late notice regarding the rocket launches has forced them to delay flights just before departure. The airline is working with SpaceX to refine the rocket re-entry areas and time windows to minimize future disruption.
The Australia n airline confirmed several flights between Johannesburg and Sydney have been delayed for between one and six hours.Ben Holland, the head of Qantas ' Operations Centre, said the flights had been postponed due to advice from the US government.

"Customers generally understand this is outside of airlines' control and that we can't fly in the area when the rocket re-entry is taking place. "We're in contact with SpaceX to see if they can refine the areas and time windows for the rocket re-entries to minimise future disruption to our passengers on the route."SpaceX has been recovering the first-stage boosters of its smaller Falcon Nine rockets for nine years, after delivering satellites and crews to orbit from Florida or California.
