A charity music festival is returning for the second time to raise funds to nurture the next generation of talent and platform young upcoming artists.
“It’s about regenerating the town and we have done it like a pub crawl style festival because it benefits not only those who want to get into music but also the pubs and clubs which have been massively affected by covid."It’s amazing to see everyone come together. Musicians are so willing to give their time to this charity because it’s a really positive and uplifting charity.Renowned Blackburn based alt-rock band The Ruby Tuesdays – who have featured on BBC Radio 1 – will perform.
Joe was the Head of music at Rhyddings in Oswaldtwistle in 2012/2013 and at the time he wanted to see if he could set up additional music lessons for children but the idea was not feasible due to the burden of costs on parents and the school. The four dedicated committee members hope that Ossyfest will extend music and arts opportunities to everyone so that the next generation do not miss out.
