Court hears every word of chilling 999 call moments after woman was shot dead outside pub
A court has heard the full transcript of a harrowing 999 call made after a woman was shot dead outside a pub on Christmas Eve.
The Liverpool Eco reports that Nigel Power, KC, read out a transcript of a 999 call made after the shooting. The 11 minutes and nine-second call was made by Jamie Stanton who witnessed the incident.Jaime Stanton: “Hi, oh my god”, followed by cryingJS: “Yes”JS: “I’m sorry I’m trying to be calm I’m in the Lighthouse in WallaseyJS: “I’m really sorry. There’s at least two people who have been shot…oh my god.
As the call continues, she says one is inside and one is outside. Ms Stanton is crying throughout the call. The operator: “Alright, just calm down alright, we’re going to help them”.JS: “A girl, I think someone’s dead….I think she might be dead.” Crying hysterically.The operator says they cannot give medical advice. They ask: “Do you know what injuries?”
