Police were tasked to a report of a concern for safety on Wednesday night 'when a shoe, sock and bottles were found near a half-inflated kayak that was drifting on the water'

Police say they wish to speak with the owners of an inflatable kayak that was located in South Belfast .

"We are asking two teenage boys who purchased a kayak from a shop on the Boucher Road around 4pm yesterday to make contact with police right away to let us know that you are both okay."One of the boys was wearing khaki shorts, a khaki jumper and white trainers. The other boy was wearing turquoise coloured shorts and a turquoise coloured t-shirt and coat with dark-coloured trainers.

"A report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or you can also contact 101, quoting reference number 1798 19/06/24."
