FOX10 News has learned what caused a deadly house explosion that killed a Theodore teenager.
The tragedy happened last Saturday, taking the life of 16-year-old Deuce Barrere who attended Theodore High School.According to investigators, the house was newly constructed and used propane as a fuel utility.Former Fire Investigator Todd Posey said these investigations are thorough and involve more than one party.
When a home uses propane as its fuel source, if there is a leak, Posey said the gas will settle near the floor, causing the lower walls to kick out. “They can evacuate the house, they can call their fire department, call their gas company,” he said. “The fire department is going to come in, they’re not going to go in the house, but they’re going to help you evacuate.”New details emerge surrounding Prichard detective’s perjury arrest
