Connor McKell, a professional rodeo steer wrestler, is being held without bail in the Utah County Jail after being arrested on multiple felony charges, according to court records. McKell, 27, was arrested Jan.
18 at his Springville home and booked on 15 counts of first-degree felony object rape, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of unlawful detention. All charges include a domestic violence enhancement. A probable cause affidavit states Springville police responded to a hospital after an adult woman reported she had been assaulted earlier that night. The woman told officers she went to McKell’s residence and believed he was intoxicated at the time.19-year-old driver accused of speeding at 115 miles per hour while under the influence According to the affidavit, the woman said the encounter began consensually but later told McKell she wanted it to stop. Investigators say McKell continued despite her objections and used force that caused her pain and injuries.A sexual assault nurse examiner documented injuries consistent with the woman’s account, court documents state. Friends who saw her shortly after reported visible marks on her neck. Police later obtained a search warrant for McKell’s residence and arrested him.
