It was a not-so-jolly holiday.
Prince Harry has been asked to give the UK’s Home office one month of notice that he will be traveling across the pond so they can determine if the former royal needs a security detail., after submitting the security request it is up to the Home Office to decide the level of security needed since the Duke “stepped back” from royal life in 2020.
“I would like them to provide an example of where someone else has left ‘public duty’ with the same threat assessment as me, and received no security,” said Harry. “I was born into this and the threat will never decrease because of my status regarding the family.” Prince Harry’s legal team argued that the Prince was “gravely concerned about his safety and security during future trips to the UK” and that he felt that “given the gravity of what is at stake for him and his family” his only option was to take legal action.
