"We were informed last month that Ella was not allowed to attend, exactly four weeks after I lost my mother, Ella’s grandmother, who helped Ella choose her dress. Ella, who says it has affected her mental health even more, added:"It just meant a lot to me that if I went to my prom that I could make my grandma proud.
