Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe couldn't resist throwing new striker Troy Parrott straight into the thick of it on the opening day of the Championship season.
loanee was short lived as he received a red card.Lowe said:"We are crying out for strikers aren't we and then when you get a striker of Troy's quality - I thought he was unlucky not to score, he had a couple rifle past and I thought one in particular on his left foot was going to rifle into the bottom corner."His movement and his intelligent play is very good. Ched gives you something different - well, he didn't on Saturday - but he normally does.
"Parrott comes in with plenty of pedigree having been tipped for big things since coming through at Spurs and also playing for the15 times.He had a one on one saved on Saturday and also went close with another effort later on in the match.Lowe has no doubts about the capabilities of the 20-year-old however and is backing him to get more chances soon, and to convert them.
