A water main break and/or loss of pressure has prompted officials to issue a precautionary boil water notice for customers of the Bagdad-Garcon Point Water System, Inc.

The utility today is advising that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. Affected areas are between Garcon Point Road and Tidal Bay Drive south to Garcon Point Road at Kensara Drive and include:Garcon Point Water System, Inc. at 850-623-8508 for questions or concerns.
