Dr. Sameer Sheth and Dr. Ben Hayden’s Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to lead projects studying the neurophysiology of cognition using Neuropixel and other high-contact number probes in the cortex and hippocampus in human neurosurgical patients.

High-density electrodes for the study of intracranial neural recordings provides a tremendous opportunity to understand the neural basis of cognition, affect, emotion, motivation, and other related behaviors. These projects are ideal for the individual interested in acquiring and analyzing task-locked and naturalistic behavior using intracranial neurophysiology.

The successful applicant will have graduate level training in neuroscience, neuroengineering, or similar and have experience with population statistical techniques, EEG/ERP analysis, hardware development, and cognitive neuroscience.
