The Program in Population and Environmental Health Disparities in the Center for Precision Environmental Health and Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Associate to oversee data curation, data management, and data analyses for ongoing research projects. The Program is home to an NIH P50 Center of Excellence on Environmental Health Disparities Research, the Maternal and and Infant Environmental Health Riskscape Center.
Conducts literature reviews and summarizes findings of previous research in exposure science and epidemiology. Creates and updates databases in SAS for research projects involving primary data collection and secondary data from electronic health records, the TX Dept. of State Health Services, the U.S. Census, U.S. EPA and other sources.Performs statistical analyses in SAS and R.Summarizes statistical findings of epidemiologic analyses.Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Health, Statistics, or related field.Experience working with large datasets.Baylor College of Medicine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Equal Access Employer.
