Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy donated $60,000 to Tiny Brick Oven pizza shop in Baltimore, preventing its planned closure on Christmas Day.
A struggling pizza shop in Baltimore, Maryland, received a significant Christmas surprise from Dave Portnoy , the founder of Barstool Sports. Tiny Brick Oven was scheduled to close permanently on Christmas Day. Director of Operations Will Fagg appealed to the public for assistance in a video. Portnoy met with Fagg and learned about the shop's financial difficulties, which stemmed from the local government not granting them a liquor license.
Despite trying a reheated pizza, Portnoy expressed his belief that the shop shouldn't close and, upon learning the amount needed to stay open, generously donated $60,000. Fagg was overjoyed and emphasized the importance of the business to the community, stating that Portnoy's donation provided more than just a meal; it offered hope and warmth during the holiday season
