A urologist with 150,000 followers on X says she'll skip a national conference in San Antonio, fearing what could happen if she had complications with a pregnancy while in Texas. Ashley Winter, 39, of California, announced Wednesday that she would not attend the American Urological Association Annual Meeting, which takes place at the Henry B. González Convention Center this year. 'My husband I are trying for our child,' Winter said on X.
' Texas' abortion ban allows termination of a pregnancy only when the woman 'has a life-threatening physical condition aggravated by, caused by, or arising from a pregnancy that places the female at risk of death or poses a serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function.
