Popular DJ and radio star Black N Mild has died from coronavirus COVID19
NEW Orleans DJ and radio personality Black N Mild has died at age 44 after testing positive for coronavirus., The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office confirmed.Oliver, who was a father of four, also worked at the Arthur Ashe Charter School in New Orleans.
According to reports, he left school on March 9 with a fever of 102.4 degrees and went to Ochsner Urgent Care-Lakeview.He wrote on social media in his final post: “Pneumonia not the flu.”Black N Mild is known for bringing New Orleans bounce music to the radio. He wrote on February 3rd on Facebook: "I was the first DJ in Nola history to have a radio mix show dedicated to Nola Bounce from 03-05 .”
Oliver relocated to Houston to host Rhythm and Bounce, which aired on Saturday nights on a New Orleans AM station from 2013 to 2017.
