Police say Brad Simpson's friend and business partner, Val Cotter, concealed the machine gun days after Suzanne Simpson was last seen alive.
Two days after Olmos Park real estate agent Suzanne Clark Simpson disappeared, her husband Brad Simpson allegedly arranged for a friend to retrieve an AK-47 assault rifle from Simpson's home and hide it from authorities, court records show. James Vallee 'Val' Cotter, Brad Simpson 's friend and business partner, concealed the weapon in a bedroom wall in Cotter's home at the Dominion Country Club , according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the San Antonio Express-News .
What we know about Brad Simpson, husband of missing Realtor Cotter, 65, was arrested at his home by Texas Rangers and Olmos Park police at 7:45 p.m. Monday and charged with tampering with evidence with intent to hinder an investigation, a third-degree felony. A Bexar County magistrate judge set Cotter's bail at $500,000. Suzanne Simpson, 51, a mother of four, is missing and presumed dead. She was last seen alive on Oct. 6.
