Motorist are being advised to avoid the Hyde Road area
One of Manchester's busiest roads has been shut off this morning after a crash. It happened on Hyde Road on the border of Ardwick and West Gorton at around 8am.
Just one car is said to have been involved in the collision. A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said the extent of the injuries suffered was still unclear at this stage.READ MORE: My wife casually mentioned something to me the other night that ruined my week Pictures from the scene showed a number of emergency service vehicles underneath the railway bridge between the junctions with Toll Bar Street and Bennett Street.Motorists are being urged to avoid the area for the time being.
