Officers were speaking to local stables and owners
Police in Corby are searching for a runaway horse spotted earlier today. Officers from Northamptonshire Police are also concerned for the safety of the missing rider, who could be injured.
A report of a fully-saddled horse running loose without a rider in the East Carlton area was received at 10.40am. The horse was seen on a bridleway off Pipewell Road, close to the village, but could not be caught. A force spokesperson told Northants Live that officers were speaking to local stables and owners in a bid to find the rider of the horse, which was still missing at 1pm this afternoon.
The spokesperson added: "We urgently need to hear from anyone with information which could be related to this report – if you can help, please call 999 regarding incident 173 of April 20."READ NEXT:
