86-year-old Elizabeth Bell died in the fire near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road
PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for a man they say set a house on fire that killed a woman Thursday afternoon near 35th Avenue and Bell Road.
Just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Phoenix Fire crews were called to a structure fire near 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road. When they arrived they found a home on fire. While searching through it, firefighters located an elderly woman in the living area.On Friday, Phoenix police asked for the public's help in finding 59-year-old Wayne Tweed.
Police say Tweed intentionally set that home on fire Thursday that left the woman, who was identified as 86-year-old Elizabeth Bell, dead.Tweed is described as being 5-foot 5-inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes, and multiple tattoos.
