Police are searching for a black Dodge Ram 1500 in a hit-and-run investigation involving a skateboarder in Lake Highlands on Aug. 11, 2024.Officials are asking for the public’s help finding the suspect in a hit-and-run involving a skateboarder in Lake Highlands earlier this month.
A skateboarder was found seriously injured in the10200 block of Audelia Road just south of Royal Lane around 2:20 a.m. Aug. 11, according to a police statement.The driver did not stop to help the skateboarder and continued driving north on Audelia Road, according to police. The driver passed Royal Lane, made a U-turn and drove east toward Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, police said.
The pickup appears to be a black Dodge Ram 1500, police said. The truck will have damage to the front right including a missing front right light and assembly, front right fender damage and grill damage, according to a statement by police.The investigation is ongoing.
