While conducting routine traffic stops for minor violations, Chagrin Falls police nabbed subjects with active warrants through other police departments. A traffic stop 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9 resulted in the arrest of a Stow man, 20, who had an active warrant with Macedonia police. He was transported and turned over to that department.
Police stopped a Solon driver, 43, for a traffic violation 4:51 p.m. Sept. 6. She did not have a valid driver’s license and had an active warrant. The police department that filed the warrant chose to not retrieve her in Chagrin Falls. She was cited for driving with a suspended license and was warned to take care of the warrant. She was also given a date at Bedford Municipal Court.A woman told police on Sept. 8 that a friend was sending her harassing messages through social media.
While backing into a driveway shortly before 7 a.m. Sept. 6, a Chagrin Valley rescue squad pulled down power lines. CEI was contacted to make repairs.
