The flash-mob burglary happened while hundreds of people attended or performed dangerous stunts in the street takeover with cars and spectators illegally blocking traffic near Century Boulevard and Hoover Street, police said.“The suspects have shown a complete disregard for the safety and property of others,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement, explaining 50 to 75 people stole about $67,000 worth of items.
At least one man, 24-year-old Danny Sanchez was taken into custody following a pursuit, and officers recovered approximately $1,200 of stolen merchandise from his car, the LAPD said.
