Renton Police Detectives are investigating a potential hate crime at a church Friday night.
Officers responded to a call at the United Christian Church on 116th Avenue Southeast early Saturday morning, where they found six rainbow-colored doors scattered on the church’s front lawn.The doors were part of a display that said, “God’s doors are open to all.” Detectives say there were tire marks on the lawn, indicating the driver intentionally drove over a 6-inch curb and through the six wooden doors.
According to the press release from Renton Police, “The United Christian Church strongly supports the LGBTQ+ community and has suffered vandalism in the past.
