RENTON, Wash. — Detectives are investigating a potential hate crime at a Renton church,Officers responded to a malicious mischief call at the United Christian Church in the 15500 block of 116th Avenue Southeast.

Officers were called in Friday night into Saturday and found six rainbow-colored doors scattered on the front lawn.Officers saw tire marks on the lawn, indicating the driver intentionally drove over a 6″ church and through the six wooden doors.“The United Christian Church strongly supports the LGBTQ+ community and has suffered vandalism in the past. Hate crimes and bias-related incidents are not tolerated in Renton, and we encourage everyone to report them,” said RPD.
